Another alleged strike happens at Foxconn

Foxconn is yet again playing damage control after a report claims workers walked off the job.

Human rights group China Labor Watch said that on Friday, as many as 4,000 Apple employees went on strike. The issue was reportedly due to the iPhone 5's strict quality assurance. According to the group, managers were being incredibly harsh about phones leaving the warehouse with small scratches.

In addition, there were reports of employees getting shorter vacation times.

Foxconn has denied these allegations, and released a statement that "any reports that there has been an employee strike are inaccurate."

"There has been no workplace stoppage in that facility or any other Foxconn facility and production has continued on schedule," the company added.

Of course, the last thing Foxconn wants is another embarrassment. Just recently the manufacturing plant faced problems when a huge dispute erupted among off-hours employees.

To its credit, Foxconn admitted that ordeal so its denial of this strike can be given some sort of credibility. The company did admit that there were two separate, small disputes but that they were "immediately addressed and measures taken, including providing additional staff for the lines in question."

Foxconn said that unlike reports claim, there was never a time when there was a stoppage of iPhone 5 production.
