MySpace may begin offering its own free email

Beverly Hills (CA) - Citing unnamed sources and an alleged copy of internal company email, TechCrunch reported yesterday that MySpace is building its own webmail product - one which will rival Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and Google's Gmail. When it launches, it will be the third largest webmail provider in the world.

All existing MySpace users will be assigned their own email account in the form of AccountName@myspace.com. TechCrunch does not know when the product will be released, however, as they report it's still under development in "stealth mode."
