Microsoft said it has signed a cross-licensing agreement with Nikon relating to a range of consumer electronics, including digital cameras. While financial details were not released, the two companies said that Nikon is compensating Microsoft for the access to the software firm’s patents.   

Microsoft and Nikon previously worked together in the field of wireless features for digital cameras.
