LG Electronics led the global CDMA handset market for the sixth straight quarter in the second quarter of this year, with shipments totaling 12.7 million units and accounting for a 27.5% share in the segment, according to handset makers citing data released by Strategy Analytics. The 27.5% market share was the highest level that LG has ever achieved in the segment, compared to 25.9% recorded in the first quarter of this year and 18.1% of the same quarter of a year earlier, the makers indicated.
