Intel said to be cutting prices to cater to Dell

With Dell once again flirting with the idea of adopting AMD CPUs, Intel has pushed ahead with the release of an entry-level dual-core CPU and will cut prices for its Pentium D9 series CPUs next month, according to industry sources. In addition, the sources claim that Intel has offered Dell increased discounts to prevent the number one PC maker from considering shifting its CPU orders.
